    Returns Policy

    Thank you for purchasing our products!  Exotic Ribbons takes the utmost care to ensure our products are of the highest quality!

    This Returns Policy forms part of our  Terms and Conditions.  Please note that nothing in this Policy is intended to infringe or limit your lawful rights in any way.

    We do NOT ALLOW EXCHANGES OR RETURNS for refunds, so kindly choose wisely (this does not apply to being sent the wrong goods, defective or damaged goods).  Due to the nature of our products, we have no way of knowing whether products have been tampered with or cut.  We will not reroll, repackage or check the meterage of any products for exchanges, no exceptions.

    However undesireable, we take utmost care to avoid ANY joins! We unfortunately have no control over joins and neither can we avoid & guarantee receiving products from suppliers join-free.  We in all our years in this industry have not been able to find a manufacturer locally or abroad who can successfully weave without joins and still offer products at affordable prices.  To ensure full rolls only, might in severe cases not only be impossible, but would triple the price of our offering as the bulk would not qualify for sale.  Allowable joins are stipulated on each product page, which are different for each product and cannot be stipulated here for practical reasons.  Allowable joins menas the maximum allowable number a product permits, but certainly does not imply all rolls have joins!   Should no join whatsoever be acceptable to you, kindly do not purchase from this web-store.

    *to protect your package and product(s) in transit, please ensure they are packed safely and securely with adequate padding and are not free to bounce around in a box
    *clearly mark your package with all relevant claim info and contact details

    Failing to adhere to the above guidelines may result in a delay in tracking and processing your claim, or it being declined.
    If the return is due to our error, we will, of course, refund your return shipping costs equal to the value paid to deliver to you as customer.

    Should products be missing or damaged in delivery, kindly let us know within 7 days of the delivery or collection.  Following inspection of the returned product to validate your claim, we will either refund you, replace it if possible or otherwise credit you.
    Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.  If you can, please do also take a photo of the damaged item as this helps our packing team improve the way products are sent.

    Our highest priority is to ensure products leave our warehouse in a perfect condition, of the highest quality and without defects.  Defective products may be returned and fully refunded or credited within 6 months after receiving the product, subject  to the conditions below.

    What qualifies as a defect?  Defects are material imperfections from the manufacturing process which render the product undesireable/useless for its intended use.

    The following will NOT be regarded as allowable defects and will not entitle you to return a product:

    • bent  or damaged packaging, ex. damaged ribbon roll flanges
    • defects from wear and tear
    • defects from manhandling or incorrect usage of the product
    • defects from alterations to the product
    • aloweable join(s) on ribbon rolls as stipulated on the web product page
    • specifications accurately describing the product on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, don’t suit you
    • a crease from packaging the product
    • a slight variation in dye batch from what was purchased in the past
    • lighting and display of your device not matching true tones of the product (we take utmost care in describing and displaying products correctly)

    If a product is defective or damaged and qualifies  according to the requirements above, the product needs to be returned in the same condition as you received it, unused and its original FULL quantity.

    After we receive your item, our team will inspect it, come to reasonable conclusion and process your claim.   We will then repay your return shipping costs at the value paid to deliver to you the customer.   The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.  Should you prefer to keep the money towards credit for future purchases, kindly do let us know.
